A task force is being gathered to develop a MATLAB toolbox for processing ultrasonic signals: The UltraSound ToolBox. Its aim is to facilitate the comparisson of imaging techniques and the dissemination of research results.
USTB will cover processing techniques for both tissue and flow visualization, as well as other image processing techniques. The USTB initiative will also put forward a file format for channel data and provide a number of datasest to serve as standard test cases .
